The time will be arranged to suit your requirements. Generally speaking, a session starting at dawn would finish around lunchtime and an afternoon session would finish when it is dark. If the light is good, it would be most unusual for me to be walking away from it! In Scotland the dawn and dusk times are amenable most of the year, although mid-summer does involve a very early start, or a late finish. To get the best from the session, I would like to have established beforehand where your current level of photgraphic knowledge is and the kind of images you are most looking to take. In a half day session, I would hope to cover two locations minimum and look to address the fundamentals of approaching the location, assessing the light, setting up, framing and composition options as well as more technical details such as depth of field, metering and exposure, use of filters etc, etc. My aim is for you to get most out of the session, rather than to baffle you with technical details....but if you like to get into the really technical stuff, that is OK too. The cost of a half day session is £120, which will include transportation and tuition as well as the loan of any equipment during the session. Food costs are not included, however tea and coffee are. The cost of the photoshoot may be shared between participants. My transportation can house up to three in comfort... four at a squeeze.
